The RPTree Creator Kit is a reference document for game designers looking to make games in the RPTree system, the system that powers ABODE. RPTree games see players exploring a family through a number of question-guided roleplay scenes and drawing out a family tree between scenes.

The Creator Kit comes in three parts: an introduction; the system reference document, which contains a genreless version of the rules of ABODE; and design notes, which discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the system as well as tweaks that can be made to the system.

Designer Dorian Blackwood has designed two games using the RPTree system: Welcome Home Darling is an Australian gothic game about visiting your ancestors abandoned house, and For the Crown is a fantasy game that sees players take on the role of Royal Archivists as they research to find the true heir to the throne.
